Our incredible journey also began with our first step in the late 70’s, when Dr. Sharif Hashmani established a hospital under the name of Hashmanis Hospital. Hashmanis Medical Welfare Foundation was established to provide free of cost treatment to the nation.
- HMWF has successfully performed over 1 Million surgeries free of cost to date.
- Distributed over 600,000 eye sight glasses.
- Screened and treated over 7 Million patients free of cost.
- First welfare organization to import Phaco in eye camps in 1995.
- First welfare organization to implant IOLS in eye camps.
- First and currently the only Eye Hospital to provide refractive surgeries free of cost (Lasik)
Today, thousands of patients are treated free of cost by the foundation and over 6,000 surgeries are performed yearly in these hospitals free of cost.
